Why should we grind our own flour? Of course, it is cheaper than buying from the market, but nothing can compare to freshly ground flour: with aromatic and healthy ingredients, there is an explosion of flavor that cannot be found in sterilized products! When grains are ground as whole grains, all nutrients are present in their entirety. It is quite difficult to find all these nutrients in industrial flours sold in supermarkets. The aroma and flavor provided by the essential oils and nutrients during grinding are impossible to find in ready-made flours. We can liken the difference between freshly ground flour and ready-made flour to the difference between freshly ground coffee and instant coffee. Just as the taste of a sliced and oxidized (losing its nutritional value quickly) apple eaten after a while is similar to the taste of a fresh apple, the relationship between unground and freshly ground flour is similar; as food products are broken down, they come into contact with oxygen more and deteriorate quickly. From a practical point of view, unground whole grains can be stored for a much longer time without spoiling. With Komo mills, you can grind all grains, legumes, spices, as well as small, oil-free seeds, and even coffee beans finely. Essential nutrients such as magnesium, iron, B vitamins, and valuable plant proteins remain in the flour. Why not give your body as many natural foods as possible? There is no turning back after tasting the difference!
Komo Superiority in Stone Mills
Komo, a company that has been producing since 1985, exports to 65 countries today. All production is done in Austria in their own workshops by employees who are 85% disabled with love.
Motor
Komo mills have patented grinding technology at their core. Made of durable materials, all parts are assembled with millimetric measurements to provide a quiet, powerful, and continuous stone grinding operation.
Stones
Our grinding stones are made of Corundum Ceramic, a material that is resistant to wear and does not need to be sharpened. This material, discovered in 1985, is now standard in all Komo mills. These stones, made of Ceramic and Aluminum Oxide, do not require maintenance, self-sharpen, and due to their super strong structures, machines with stones that have not been replaced for 30 years are still available in the market. If a wrong product (such as oily seeds) is fed into the hopper, it does not cause a problem; by grinding large-grain rice, you can restore the stones to their original state.
Longevity
All Komo products are designed and manufactured to work flawlessly for many years. All raw materials used are sourced from the strongest materials and sustainable sources. For the continuity of quality, 100% of the production is done in Austria.
Easy to Use
Using Komo machines is extremely simple. After opening the lid and adjusting the thickness setting by turning the hopper from side to side, you can start grinding or crushing. Without the need for any tools, you can easily access the grinding stones by turning the hopper to the thick setting. To find the finest setting, turn the hopper to the fine direction until you hear the stones rubbing against each other. Then, turn it to the coarse direction until the grinding sound stops. You have now found the finest setting!
Elegant Design
We value the exterior of our machines as much as the interior and create excellent designs brought by simplicity. Durability is also valid for the materials we use on the exterior. Solid wood used in local and quality furniture making is sanded and oiled to achieve a brand new look.
Secure Packaging
After our products are carefully manufactured, they must reach your home safely. We have taken all precautions during the shipping process to ensure that your valuable and cherished product arrives without any damage. With special compounds that make our packages resistant to impact, you can be sure that your orders will reach your home smoothly.
What each mill grinds
With the help of these symbols, you can easily understand what food your Komo device can grind. If there is an asterisk (*) in the table, it indicates that the machine can grind the specified seed. The example seeds given are a small selection from the food universe you can grind with your machine and are provided as a guide. In general, you can grind all non-oily and non-moist seeds with your mill. Oily seeds can be crushed by all crushing tools.
What can be ground with KOMOMIO:
Wheat, oats, spelt-dinkel, buckwheat, rice, barley, corn, maize, coffee, cumin, pepper, coriander, anise, or fennel, and many other spices. The mentioned materials are just a small selection given as an example, and of course, the foods you can crush are not limited to these.
How to clean KOMOMIO:
Turn the hopper to change the 'Fine' setting to 'Coarse'. Fill with about 2 handfuls of rice and grind. If you are not going to use the device for a long time, after turning the hopper 2 turns in the 'Coarse' direction and removing it, you can clean the hopper and flour outlet with an electric vacuum cleaner to remove all residues.
